📝 Abstract (English)
This study designs an eco-friendly wallpaper from okra fibers (Abelmoschus esculentus) to valorize agricultural stems as an alternative to synthetic wall coverings: stagnant-water retting extraction, treatment (7% NaOH, neutralization, peroxide bleaching), pulping, molding, drying and thermocompression. Characterization on sixteen samples (tensile, tear, grammage, thickness, moisture): flexible strong fibers, homogeneous structure and appealing finish after optimization. A biodegradable, waste-derived, promising eco-friendly material.
